Party Lyfe
....so this will be my take two on internet blogging. I will mostly be sharing my thoughts about politics and science. Naturally when I say politics I mean football and when I say science I really mean what I had for lunch on any given day or if I find a dime on the street.
Bye Good 2!!
I’ve packed my bags and moved on. No looking back. Click on title for new blog.
Bye Good!
Unless you have been living under a rock odds are you’ve seen this little gem. If you have not get ready to laugh. Joaquin Phoenix on Letterman is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I’ve LOL’d so many times. Props to Joaquin for whatever he is doing, I’m sure in the end it’s going to be hilarious.
Antony & The Johnstones-The Crying Light
FUCK!!! Is it too soon to name the album of the year? It’s soo good I can’t bear myself to not listen to it at least twice a day…..
Do yourself a service and buy it….
You win this round RA. I will back off due to respect……
All look-a-likes please apply for gf position here…
Morrissey you cheeky monkey you!!
2 more weeks untill the record drops. I can’t beleive I held out this long without downloading it. It’s all about will power.
LEGO’S!!!!!
I wish it was socialy acceptable for me to still play with these suckers at my age. Whenever I’m walking by them in a store I’m so pissed that they didn’t have these models when I was younger. Maybe I should just stop bitching about it and go buy some new Lego’s? In a perfect world…..
Clipse!!
Jake and I checked out this little ditty of a show at Circa (Barf). The crowd as per usual was mostly douche bags with popped collars but you can’t have it all right? Well there was this one guy in a Ministry shirt that seemed to be enjoying himself. Clipse is one of my fave bands or groups if you will and they absolutely killed it last night. They played stuff from all their records but mostly stuck to Hell Hath No Fury which A-OK with this homie. Can’t wait to hear ‘Till The Casket Drops, untill then I’ll have to listen to The Road ‘Till The Casket Drops.
So inspiring was their set last night that Jake and I are considering a new bussiness venture. Selling coke that’s more pure than a babies soul. Soon we’ll be rolling in cheddar and chicken heads. Thoughts?
On Top Where We Belong!!
Last year it was Ronaldo that helped us win trophies, this year it will be Berbatov and Vidic! Mark my words.
We shall not, we shall not be moved…….
What a performance!!!!! United finally turned their engines on and CRUSHED Chelsea. It could have easily been 5-0. Everyone on United put in a performance and a half. Giggsy is a monster in midfield. WOW.
Some Boys Have All The Luck……
A couple of days ago Anto, Jack, Jake, Dan and I were having some drinks and listening to some tunes, when someone put on Rod Stewart. We all started singing the words (minus Dan) and we instantly became that much better friends. Altough we lost some respect for Dan since he doesn’t care for Rod. “Hey man you like Rod Stewart?’. “I’ve got two ears and a heart don’t I?”
Anto moved to Brooklyn over the weekend (lame and cool at the same time) to hang out with the Wu Tang Clan and The Strokes. Anto If you’re reading this you still have to find me a replacement BFFF untill you come back.
Happpy 2009 to everyone!!!
GAMBIT!!!!
I saw the preview for the Wolverine movie that’s coming out in 2009, and I was giddy with excitement when I learned that Gambit is finally making his debut. I’m not a comic book nerd by any means, but I always loved the X-men as a wee lad. Gambit was always my favourite by far. Can’t wait!!!
Naked Grape
We drank 3 bottles of this battery acid wine last night (thanks Anto), and I’ve never been more hungover. Never drinking wine again. That’s probably a lie. Wine, wine, wine. What’s with this weather outside? Bananas. My new years resolution is to never again go to Yorkdale Mall on boxing day. Anto and I did it the past two years. I think I said the same thing last year as well. How did she sucker me into going this year? Go see The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, it’s a great movie. “Did I ever tell you I was struck by lightning seven times?”. I’m off to watch season 3 of Weeds and eat Tofurky leftovers.

Oasis/Ryan Adams & The Cardinals
Anto, Kat, DB and myself headed up west to London to catch this doozie of a show. I don’t think the crew enjoyed the Cardinals as much as I did. Anto didn’t like the set list or that Ryan didn’t look up or say a single word to the crowd. What he did do however is play some great songs old and new to perfection. My homie is known to throw temper tantrums in the past or act “weird”, I will just chalk that up to being a mad genius. They mostly stuck to the last two albums (which I love dearly as much as the old albums) so I enjoyed their set throughout. He just doesn’t write bad songs. Even if they are a joke. The highlight for me was “Goodnight Rose” the extended version. They went into a 10 min jam session and it was perfect. “Fix It” sounded just so heavy. Ryan’s love of all things metal was definitely seeping in. Only complaint I suppose is that they didn’t play anything off of Jacksonville City Nights.
This was my first time seeing Oasis. I had a free pass to see them at V Fest this year thanks to Kat, but I had to play for Justice United FC that night. I can see why buddyhead.com loves this band so much, when they hate everyone else. They played all the big hits. Liam is a cocky mother fucker and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They were perfect. They played 20 songs and ended it all with a Beatles cover. Which seems to be a popular choice lately (Neil Young did when Anto and I saw him play 2 weeks ago). All in all a very enjoyable night.
Kwok just informed me of a MORRISSEY the great playing a show in Buffalo in March. Hell yes!!
…all songs remastered and sounding wicked.
Turns out Ryan Adams is pretty much finished recording another album called Dear Impossible. Killer. Anto he even has a song called firefly on it.
Go to www.glassjaw.com for a sonic assault on a whole another level. I’m beyond excited for this record to see the light of day.
I had 3 cups of Earl Grey Tea within a span of 40 minutes. The English were holding out on me all this time. My throat is feeling somewhat ok. United vs. Blackburn is on at 3pm. Sick days are wicked minus the being sick part. I’m taking so much Buckleys, that I don’t even cringe at the taste anymore.
