Party Lyfe

....so this will be my take two on internet blogging. I will mostly be sharing my thoughts about politics and science. Naturally when I say politics I mean football and when I say science I really mean what I had for lunch on any given day or if I find a dime on the street.

Oasis/Ryan Adams & The Cardinals
Anto, Kat, DB and myself headed up west to London to catch this doozie of a show. I don’t think the crew enjoyed the Cardinals as much as I did. Anto didn’t like the set list or that Ryan didn’t look up or say a single word to the crowd. What he did do however is play some great songs old and new to perfection. My homie is known to throw temper tantrums in the past or act “weird”, I will just chalk that up to being a mad genius. They mostly stuck to the last two albums (which I love dearly as much as the old albums) so I enjoyed their set throughout. He just doesn’t write bad songs. Even if they are a joke. The highlight for me was “Goodnight Rose” the extended version. They went into a 10 min jam session and it was perfect. “Fix It” sounded just so heavy. Ryan’s love of all things metal was definitely seeping in. Only complaint I suppose is that they didn’t play anything off of Jacksonville City Nights.
This was my first time seeing Oasis. I had a free pass to see them at V Fest this year thanks to Kat, but I had to play for Justice United FC that night. I can see why buddyhead.com loves this band so much, when they hate everyone else. They played all the big hits. Liam is a cocky mother fucker and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They were perfect. They played 20 songs and ended it all with a Beatles cover. Which seems to be a popular choice lately (Neil Young did when Anto and I saw him play 2 weeks ago). All in all a very enjoyable night.
Kwok just informed me of a MORRISSEY the great playing a show in Buffalo in March. Hell yes!!
